Kihyun is currently a postdoctoral researcher in the Electric Vehicle (EV) Research Center at ITS-UC Davis. His research interests cover EV Adoption and Charging Infrastructure Demand, City and Regional Planning, Travel Behavior, Data Analysis, and GIS. Before coming to UC Davis, he holds a Ph.D. in City and Regional Planning from the Ohio State University, specializing in land use and transportation planning. He received his master’s degree in Urban Planning and bachelor’s degree in Economics from Chung-Ang University in South Korea.

Gabriel Shenhar is an Associate Director at Consumer Reports’ Auto Test Center in Colchester, Connecticut. He has vast hands-on testing experience and diverse automotive knowledge. He leads a team of auto testers and evaluators. He oversees the purchasing of all test vehicles for CR. He spearheaded the introduction of CR’s electric vehicle testing, including its on-site charging infrastructure, and leads the program today. He is a regular panelist on CR’s Talking Cars podcast. Shenhar holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology.

Ken Kurani is Researcher at the Electric Vehicle Research Center at the University of California, Davis. He has spent the past three decades exploring with consumers their awareness, knowledge, assement, and interest in alternative fuel and electric-drive vehicles. He has Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from UC Davis.

Katrina Sutton is a technical project manager at CALSTART specializing in zero-emission bus technogies and infrastructure. She received a M.S. in Transportation Technology and Policy at UC Davis in 2020 and a B.S. in Environmental Science and Management from UC Davis in 2015. Her research interests include electric buses, barriers to EV adoption, EV education, charging management strategies, charging etiquette, long distance BEV travel, and climate change mitigation. Proud owner of one 2011 Chevrolet Volt, one cat, and ten PV solar modules.
