Mike has worked in the commercial vehicle industry for over 35 years, is the Executive Director of the North American Council for Freight Efficiency and is the trucking lead for RMI. Mike’s specialty is brokering green truck collaborative technologies into the real world at scale. In October 2021, Mike was named an Industry Influencer by FleetOwner and awarded the prestigious SAE 2020 L. Ray Buckendale Lecturer and manuscript author in 2020. He has a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from The Ohio State University and a Master’s in Organizational Leadership from the Indiana Institute of Technology. Roeth served on the second National Academy of Sciences, Engineering, Medicine Committee on Reducing Fuel Consumption and Greenhouse Gas Emissions of Medium- and Heavy-Duty Vehicles, is a Department of Energy Merit Reviewer and past Chairman of the Board for the Truck Manufacturers Association. He understands the customers, operations and intricacies of the commercial vehicle industry having held various positions with Navistar and Behr/Cummins.

Andrea Pratt

Andrea Pratt is the Zero Emission Technology Program Director for Volvo Group North America. Andrea has worked in clean transportation since 2011 and specializes in battery electric vehicle technology, fleet electrification, strategic planning and implementation, climate and transportation policy, electric vehicle infrastructure scoping and installation, zero emission zones, and finding equitable solutions to shift the transportation sector to zero emission technology. In her current role, Andrea is focused on ZEV implementation, advocating for incentive programs, fostering utility engagement, and scaling medium- and heavy-duty ZEV pilot projects.

Kevin Maggay

Kevin Maggay is currently the Senior Manager of Public Policy for EMobility at Navistar, International. In this role he works across North America to drive policies and programs that ensure the successful rollout of battery and hydrogen powered commercial vehicles. Mr. Maggay has in-depth experience in the transportation sector having worked in policy for transportation, logistics, and the environment for organizations such as the Port of Los Angeles, BNSF Railway, SoCalGas, and the Alameda Corridor East. In his free time, he is an instructor in the Cal State Long Beach Global Logistics Program and is a member of the Planning Commission in his hometown of El Segundo, CA.

Nathan Hill
Daimler Truck North America

Nathan (Nate) Hill is the director of the ZEV Infrastructure, Consulting, and Training teams with responsibility for all of North American.  Together with his team of engineers, strategist, and consultants, Hill uses Daimler-developed tools, processes, partners, and suppliers to help Daimler customers “bring power to the truck” in a cost-optimized way.  Many of the methods and knowledge offered to customers were developed during Hill’s prior role as the project lead for charging infrastructure deployed in support of the Freightliner Electric Innovation Fleet; an ongoing 7-site, 30 electric truck pilot project supported with funding from the South Coast Air Quality Management District. Hill has been with DTNA for 14 years with a variety of engineering design responsibilities, including vehicle aerodynamics, cab design, chassis design, electric truck prototype development, electric truck energy optimization, battery development, and others. Hill has always had a passion for alternative power systems and for trucks. Hill received a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from Brigham Young University before studying alternative-power systems as a graduate student at the University of California, San Diego.

Alec Cervenka is the Zero Emissions Sales Manager at Kenworth Truck Company. In this role, he works with fleets in the public and private sector as well as owner operators all across North America as they work to decarbonize their operations and transition to Class 6-8 Battery Electric Vehicles (BEVs) and Fuel Cell Electric Vehicles (FCEVs). Kenworth Truck Company are taking a consultative approach with every customer, guiding them through the entire Zero Emissions Vehicle deployment process, including vehicle specification, application/route analysis, infrastructure design and installation, operator training, and state/provincial and federal grant/incentive application.
